FREE FILM: The Mystery of Chaco Canyon

Showing Monday, June 18, 6pm, in the Program Room.

This film presents more than 20 years of research into one of North America's most enigmatic archeological sites. Come learn how the central trade theory (which espoused this site as a center of commerce for the Chacoans, the predessors of the Pueblo Indians) is being replaced by an astronomical/theological theory. Discover the curious precision of the buildings' orientations to the Suna nd Moon, and how this mysterious place distlls the virtues of the stars. One of New Mexico's ancient treasures, this mysterious place is alikened to Stone Henge and the Great Pyramids.
