Mike Perry is a Writer in the Sky!

Mike Perry is the author of the hugely popular, small-town classic Population 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time, a book that launched him to writing fame almost instantaneously.

Mike is a volunteer firefighter in small-town Wyoming. He's written for many national magazines, including Outside, Esquire, Orion and the New York Times Magazine. His commentary on NPR after 911 got him national attention. He has recently finished a country album, Headwinded, and has done a number of uproarious standup rountines, apparently.

His motto: "Never stand behind a sneezing cow."
