Mark Spragg is the author of three books: Where Rivers Change Direction, a memoir which won the Mountains & Plains Booksellers Award, and the novels The Fruit of Stone, and most recently, An Unfinished Life. All were top-ten BookSense selections and have been translated into fifteen languages. Mark and his wife, Virginia, wrote the screenplay for An Unfinished Life, which starred Robert Redford and Morgan Freeman, and was released in 2005 by Miramax Films.

Margaret Coel is the New York Times bestselling author of the now 13-book Wind River Mystery Series. She has won the Colorado Book Award four times. An ex-judge who traded in the gavel for her pen, she blends legal expertise with intelligent, believable plots, to craft first-rate mysteries. She has written a number of non-fiction books, including the award-winning biography of the Arapaho Chief, Chief Lefthand. H. L. Hix is the award-winning poet who directs the MFA Creative Writing program at the University of Wyoming. He has won the T.S. Eliot Prize for Poetry, and was a 2006 finalist for the National Book Award for Poetry. He earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin, taught philosophy at the Kansas City Art Institute, and was Vice President for Academic Affairs at The Cleveland Institute of Art. His Poetry includes the collections Chromatic, Shadows of Houses, Surely as Birds Fly, Rational Numbers, and Perfect Hell. He has also won the KCAI Teaching Excellence Award and a Fellowship from the National Endowment of the Arts.

Michael Perry is the author of the widely popular Population 485—Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time. A side-splitting humorist, Mike relates small town life anecdotally, relaying the profound while making his readers laugh. He is a regular contributor to magazines such as The New York Times Magazine, Men's Health, Outside and Esquire. Carol Berg is an award-winning fantasy novelist, the author of the epic trilogy The Books of the Rai-kirah, and the four-book The Bridge of D’Arnath series. Since Transformation was published in 2000, the former software engineer has won the Prism Award, for romantic fantasy, the Geffen Award, presented by the Israeli Science Fiction Society, and the 2004 Colorado Book Award, among others, and her books have been translated into Russian, German, French, Czech, Hebrew and Polish.
